With new regulations and rules set forth by the FTC around the protection of consumer data, it is necessary for changes to be made to software applications across the country. The FTC has created the Safeguards Rule that requires financial institutions under FTC jurisdiction to have measures in place to keep customer information secure.
Part of the Rule includes anyone accessing consumer data must access the data through secure means such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). DAKCS does not take this requirement lightly. To help comply, the ability for multi-factor authentication has been implemented to be used in the QwikDial product application.
When a user first logs into either Agent Station, the QwikDial Admin website, the Clicker website, or the Agent Station web version, they will be prompted to set up MFA.
QwikDial Admin Website
For the QwikDial Admin website, admin users can reset both their own as well as other users' MFA setup. To do this, they will navigate to the Users menu option and can select a user. Then they will see the Reset Multi-Factor option to the right of the existing New, Edit, and Delete options.
This is the screen an admin user will see when they are accessing their user on the QwikDial Admin website. From here they can view their current MFA setup, view the recovery codes, or reset their own MFA.
QwikDial Clicker Website
On the Clicker site, users can manage their own MFA settings. To access the MFA options, a user can click on their user name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. The user can then select to view their MFA set-up, their recovery codes, or to reset their MFA.
Agent Station Website
On the Agent site, the user can also manage their MFA by navigating to the menu in the upper right-hand corner. When clicked, they will be presented with a new Multi-Factor option. Clicking Multi-Factor will expand the menu further to show options to view their MFA setup, view their recovery codes, or reset their MFA.
Agent Station
When users first log in to Agent Station, they will be prompted to set up MFA similar to the other QwikDial websites.
Once set up the agent will be able to navigate to the menu option in the upper right-hand corner of the Agent Station application and select Multi-Factor Authentication. The agent will then be presented with the view setup and recovery code options, along with the Reset.
